Yes, there are type matchups based on those in the main series Pokémon video games. Damage dealt to the opponent changes based on move matchups, so you'll want to be aware of type matchups as you play through the game.
In Pokémon Rumble Rush, there is no such thing as moves having no effect, so you will still be able to deal a little damage even if a move has a bad matchup.
Yes, there is a redemption deadline.
You can't redeem rewards for which the deadline has passed, so please be aware of that.

No, the Pokémon that appear in Pokémon Rumble Rush can't evolve.
The effect of the Move Plus power gear triggers when it is the same type as that of a move the Pokémon has, not the same type as the Pokémon to which it is equipped.
A Pokémon sometimes knows a move that is different than its own type, so please check the type of the move.
Pokémon power gears work when they are equipped to specific Pokémon. Please check that it's equipped to a Pokémon specified on the Pokémon power gear.
You can get Upgrade Kits when you get power gears or summon gears, and when you send power gears or summon gears to the Adventurers Club.

Your My Nintendo points are maintained even if you transfer game data between different OSes. However, you can't use My Nintendo points you earned with a different OS. Please be careful.
